Bibliographic Instruction Policy and Procedures Policy: All students should receive instruction on the use of the OPAC to find appropriate materials in the Faust Junior High School library. Bibliographic instruction should follow the Chambersburg Area School District scope and sequence for library research skills.
Procedures:
At the beginning of each school year, the librarian should schedule library orientation for all students. At this orientation, students should be instructed in the physical layout of the library, as well as the use of the Destiny Quest online catalog to locate print and non-print materials. (Sept.)
As needed throughout the year, the librarian may provide more in-depth mini-lessons on the various features of the online catalog.
